We are pleased to announce the initiation of our Spring Co-Ed Youth League, a program specifically designed for young participants aged 9 to 17. This program will last six weeks and conclude with an end-of-season tournament, providing an excellent opportunity for participants to demonstrate their skills and teamwork.

Each Saturday, the schedule will include a 1-hour shared practice session and a competitive game. This structure allows athletes to apply their skills in real-game scenarios while learning the values of sportsmanship and collaboration.

League Enrollment (1 practice, 1 game per week for 6 weeks) = $119

Practices and matches will be held on Saturdays at our Vortex Volleyball Center in Ringgold.

**Parent volunteers will be coaching practice and games. Club coaches and college players will be assigned to a court to help with practices and to officiate.**

The fee covers the cost of a Vortex shirt, awards, club coaches, and officials. Players must provide their own shorts, shoes, and kneepads.

9/10s  – 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM  (First practice following evaluations.)
11/12s  – 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM (First practice following evaluations.)
13/14s  – 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM (First practice following evaluations.)
15-17s  – 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM (First practice following evaluations.)

 Evaluations:

- Evaluations will consist of multiple volleyball skills, including serving, passing, and setting.
- Evaluation scores will determine which team a player will be assigned and are vital to creating fair and balanced teams.
- Only registered players will be evaluated.
- Parents should stay during the evaluation process.
- Players should wear kneepads and tennis shoes to evaluations.
- The athletes' age determines the age group at evaluation.
- Athletes who turn 18 during any portion of the season are not permitted in the league.

Saturday Practice/Match Days are as follows:

- March 22nd
- March 30th
- April 12th
- April 19th
- April 26th
- May 3rd
- End-of-Season Tournament: May 10th

 Each team is guaranteed a 1-hour shared practice and one match each Saturday.

 Schedules for Saturday's practices and matches will be posted by Wednesday. 

 All practices and games will be played at the Ringgold Vortex Volleyball Center.

**Parent volunteers will lead practices and coach games.**
**Club coaches and college players will help facilitate practices and officiate games.**
 

Team Formation:

Team formation is the process of the coaches and the Vortex Staff placing all the players on teams.

Evaluation scores are used to rank players and ensure teams are formed fairly and evenly.

Team formations will take place on the day of evaluations. If you need your athlete to be with a specific coach/team, please email sherry@vortexvolleyball.com.

No changes can be made after the teams have been formed.
